Newborn sessions happen in the first couple of weeks. Baby sessions are a different thing altogether — they are about personality, and each stage photographs differently.

As a baby photographer in Gurgaon, most of the sessions we are asked for fall somewhere between three months and the first birthday — the stretch where a baby stops being a newborn and starts being a small person with opinions. Infant portraits, six-month sitter sessions, milestone shoots and cake smash sessions all sit in this window, and each one photographs differently. Indoor sessions take place at our home studio setup in Sector 17A, Gurugram, where the props and themes are set up before you arrive. Every booking includes 20 edited high-resolution photographs, two outfits and props, and two creative themes, delivered through a private online gallery.

Avinash has been behind the camera for more than a decade — a passion that started during his B.Tech years, when he and Ritika met, and grew into RitAvi.Studio after their own maternity shoot left them wanting something better for other families. Babies at this age are far more interested in the camera than newborns are, so these sessions are less about posing and more about being quick enough to catch what they do next. We are based in Sector 17A, Gurugram, and photograph families right across Gurgaon and the wider Delhi NCR region. Around 6 to 8 months is the most popular window. By then most babies can sit up unsupported but are not yet crawling away from the set, which makes it ideal for sitter and milestone portraits. Sessions at 3 to 4 months and around the first birthday also work well.

Yes. Smash sessions are a favourite for 6-month and first-birthday shoots, and can be set up as one of the two creative themes included in the session. Message us on WhatsApp beforehand so the setup and clean-up are ready when you arrive.
No. Outfits, props and themed setups are included in the session. You are welcome to bring a favourite outfit, toy or family keepsake if you would like it in the photographs.
Plan for a relaxed session with breaks for feeding, nappy changes and naps. Babies set the pace, so the home studio is kept warm and unhurried rather than run to a fixed clock.
Your private online gallery is delivered within 15 days of the shoot.

Yes. Parent, sibling and family photographs are part of a baby session at no extra charge. We normally photograph the family group early on, while your baby is at their most cheerful, and then move to the solo portraits and themed setups.
