A newborn photoshoot in Gurgaon works best in the first two weeks. That is the window when babies are sleepiest and still curl naturally into the shapes that make classic newborn portraits possible. After about three weeks babies are far more awake, which is lovely in its own way but produces a more alert, less curled style of picture. Because newborns set their own schedule, these sessions are the slowest thing we do. We stop for feeds, for nappy changes, for settling, and we simply wait when your baby needs waiting for. Every booking includes 20 edited high-resolution photographs, two outfits and props, and two creative themes, delivered through a private online gallery.

Two ways to shoot, both paced around your baby.
Indoor newborn photography at our home studio setup in Sector 17A, Gurugram, kept deliberately warm, with props, wraps and themed setups already prepared before you arrive.

Avinash has been behind the camera for more than a decade — a passion that started during his B.Tech years, when he and Ritika met, and grew into RitAvi.Studio after their own maternity shoot left them wanting something better for other families. Newborn sessions are the ones he is most careful about: after all these years, the difference between a good newborn shoot and a stressful one is almost always patience rather than equipment. The first two weeks are ideal. Babies are sleepiest and most curled up then, which is what makes the classic wrapped and posed newborn images possible. After about three weeks babies are more awake and the session becomes a different, more alert style of portrait.
Safety comes before every photograph. The home studio is kept warm, the baby is never left unsupported, poses are only attempted when the baby settles into them willingly, and the session pauses whenever your baby needs feeding, changing or comforting.

Newborn sessions are deliberately unhurried, with breaks for feeding, changing and settling. Your baby sets the pace rather than the clock.

Yes, and we would encourage it. Parent and sibling photographs are part of a newborn session at no extra charge. If an older child is likely to run out of patience, we usually photograph them early in the session while they are still interested.
Ask about safety before anything else: whether a second person supports the baby, whether poses are ever forced, and how the session handles feeding and settling. Then look at full galleries rather than single images, check that the price is stated up front, and confirm who will actually photograph your baby on the day.
